The Facebook Movie was the big man on campus this year, part of an all-American top-five with Darren Aronofsky and Christopher Nolan’s respective mind-fornications, Debra Granik’s Ozarkodrama, and the Coens’ Old West tale of tween revenge. Readers bought into Banksy big-time (#11), embraced Southie accents for The Fighter (#18) and The Town (#22), and agreed with Oscar pundits that it’s good to be The King’s Speech (#9). Last issue’s critics’ poll winner, Carlos, was demoted to #6, but that’s still impressive for a five-and-a-half-hour epic—likewise for an ultra-late December steamy-depressive release Blue Valentine (#19). For each ballot, a first place choice was allotted 20 points, 19 for second, and so on. Click here for readers’ thoughts on their picks.
